Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
How Do I Drop Charges in Fl?
My ex was charged with battery in state of FL. However, he never hit me nor put marks on my body. He only restrained me which is what I wrote in the police report. Because of this, I want to drop the charges. What steps should I take?

Typically, you can contact the State Attorneys Office in your judicial circuit and sign a request not to prosecute. Once signed, submit it to the State Attorneys Office and/or the Clerk of the Court. This should put the State on notice of your desires.
