Dropped charges
i am a law enforcement officer and i was arrested,i was placed on leave at work and the accuser dropped the charges i was wondering is there any type of affadavit or document that i can odtain from that state attorney that i can take to my employer stating that they are not going to prosecute,so i can return to work instead of waiting until my court date which is a month away.

They may accept a notarized waiver of prosecution form which you should be able to get from the state attorney's office.

If not I could fax you the one I use.

If you need more than that you will probably have to wait for the court date and get a copy of the court disposition.

First I hope you have a lawyer. He/she should be geting that document. Second, the internal affairs investigation will have to be closed befoer you return to work. Call me if I cannhelp you.
