Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

drug related crime

Well my brother was charged as adult for trafficking cocaine 28- under/200grams and recieved three years but he was advise that he would be able to do boot camp but when contacted the judged denied him. So he is basically doing three years in youth offender prison. When the crime took place he was 17 but florida has the wrong birth year so should have been charged at 17. His actually DOB is 05/22/88 but have in the system as 05/22/87 which is incorrect. Well he due to get out in 08/2009 but wanted to know if worth to appeal it.

Probably not - and I am sure he has already been told that or he would have appealed earlier on.
