Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Ecstasy possession.. felony.
ok a few years back i was arested first time ever. It was in FL. for pos of ecstasy(one pill) marijuana(small amount) and a pipe. went to jail went to video court got next day got my bail of like 10thousand they wouldent O.R. me because i was from out of state(ca) and a flight risk because of that. spent 27 days in jail never once talk to a lawyer. waiting for my real courtdate. on that 27th they told me i had video court again and the judge told me a was free to go. he said something about the state not going through with the charges. other then the 27 days nothing else happend that i know of. no probatio or any falony chages and in Fl ecstasy is a mandatory falony and they are farly harsh on drug laws. So what happend? was i just one lucky person? its been like 3 years since that but i would like to know what happend? did i just somehow slip through the system?

My best guesstimate, is that you retain counsel to investigate the outcome of this matter.

If you are not concerned of the potential outcome, then you can inquire on your own to the local jurisdiction that arrested you initially.
