Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Effect of pre-trial motions on pleas
How do pretrail motions such as a motion to supress evidence effect the pleas a prosecutor will give me. I was told that motions will aggravate the prosecution and they will be less likely to give me as good of a plea as they would have if I didn't file the motion. I believe that their is a good chance that a motions to supress evidence would be successful, how big of a risk would it be to go ahead with it.

Re: Effect of pre-trial motions on pleas
Pretrial motions are often used and are very good in criminal cases. If you believe a motion to suppress would be successful I strongly recommend filing it.
