Yes, the days of the Wild West are long gone. If you are stopped for any reason, including a simple traffic stop, and a warrant from another state shows in the computer, you can expect to have those charges get you arrested and placed in jail. You may end up sitting in jail a far longer time waiting for a resolution of that outstanding matter then you would have if you had taken care of it originally in the state it occurred in. You will then usually be sent back to the state where the outstanding warrant exists.
You would be smart to make arrangements to take care of this now before this happens to you. If you do not care to travel back to the state where you are wanted, then hire and attorney who can represent you in negotiations for your voluntary surrender to the authorities and arrange for the fastest release while waiting for trial.

Yes, if arrested in the state you escaped to you can be extradited to the state where you originally committed the crime.
