Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
My ex-husband sexually molested two of my nieces in 1987 (aged 13 and 17 at the time) in Florida. There were at least five people aware of the details, including two pastors, so this is not based on repressed memories. Can he still be charged criminally or has the SOL expired?

I'm not sure of the answer. The reason I'm not sure is that the statute of limitations on this issue has changed over the years. As of today, there is no statute of limitations. HOWEVER, from 1987 until recently the law was different. I suggest you contact the police or the state attorney's office and ask them if they are willing to pursue charges.
