Re: expungement of my record
In Florida, you may qualify to have one incident Sealed or Expunged from your record, provided that you have never been adjudicate guilty (formally convicted) of any crime anywhere in the country. If the charge was dismissed, or prosecution declined or dropped by the State Attorneys office, it may be eligible for expungement. If the charge was resolved through a plea agreement, or resulted in a not guilty verdict at trial, it may be eligible to be sealed. If you were sentenced to jail, you were almost definitely convicted, and will not qualify. An attorney can assist in determining if you qualify for sealing or expunging your record, and with the sealing and expungement process.
