Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Expungment of misdemeanor

Twenty years ago, while going through a child custody battle, I was arrested for worthless check (2)- directly related to custody battle. There are two misdemeanor case numbers from the same time period. I would like to expunge them. I was told by one person I can't because of two separate case numbers, a second person said a judge could expunge the record based on circumstances regardless of the fact that there are two separate case numbers. I have no other charges against me.

Re: Expungment of misdemeanor

Both charges may be expunged IF the additional arrests DIRECTLY relate to the original arrest. So... it would appear that in your case more facts are needed before a determination can be made... GOOD LUCK.
