Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Exspongement

I was convicted of 4 felonies as a juveinile and was told that my record was going to be exsponged at age 21. I was hoping to get into the medical feild and was wondering if the medical company could look into my records after they have been exsponged?

Re: Exspongement

I would make sure your juvenile record was actually expunged. You need to contact(FDLE)Florida Department of Law enforcemnet. If they are expunged, the records can PROBABLY not be found. If the records were not expunged, you need to undergo the sealing/expungement process. A lawyer should charge about 1000 dollars or less to do it for you. You can do it yourself too, contact the clerk of courts where it happened. valerie masters 561-659-9410

Re: Exspongement

Juvenile criminal records are confidential and are supposed to be automatically destroyed once you turn 18 years old. See generally Section 39.0132, Florida Statutes. Additionally, it is highly unlikely that an employer would even become aware of your criminal record, as they are not supposed to be revealed to anyone.
