Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Extradition
I am on felony probation in Florida. I live in Michigan and MI had oversight of my probation. I was arrested in MI for violation and waived extradition to FL. FL refused to come get me (twice). Because of that MI will no longer oversee my probation. I discovered that there is a warrent in FL for a failure to appear on the violation (never notified of the court proceeding). If I turn myself in to MI & fight extradition, can I get FL to release my probation?

Re: Extradition
I would recommend that you retain a lawyer in order to attempt to have your probation terminated. Until that is done you will continue to be arrested while there is an active warrant in the system. Feel free to call me at any time should you have any further questions. Good luck.
