Re: extradition laws in florida

Extradition is usually done at the discretion of the State Attorney's Office. If the DUI with serious bodily injury has a cooperative victim, the State would most likely extradite the offender.

Having prosecuted DUI Manslaughter and other serious traffic offenses in Pinellas County for several years, my best guess is that Pinellas County will extradite on that offense.

If you have specific questions and/or would like to discuss this with an experienced and aggressive criminal defense attorney, please contact my office directly. We are located in Clearwater, across the street from the Pinellas County Jail and Criminal Justice Center.

Good luck,
