Re: failure to appear
You have a bunch of different issues going on. Do you know if your Failure to Appear charge was a misdemeanor or a felony? The check charge should be a misdemeanor. If they are both misdemeanors, you can probably take care of the charges by entering a "plea in absentia" which is done by mail by having your attorney file a motion, with a check or money order to cover all of the costs and a fingerprint card that you can get done at your local police department. Failing to appear for court in Florida can cause your license to be suspended and that would affect your DL in CO. Where in Florida did all of this occur? Its probably worth running your FL DL number to see if it is suspended and checking to see if there is a warrant out for your arrest. If you are interested, I can help you look into these matters.
Re: failure to appear
It would be unlawful for a CO court to quash a warrant out of Florida. You need to get this quashed, set and dispo'd by a FL attorney.
