Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

fake $100 dollar bill

a friend was in a store and an officer came in and told her to step outside. he then told her that she was a suspect in a counterfeit money case and that the store had a video tape of her giving them a fake $100 bill. she told them she had only been in the store once before a long time ago and would would never intentionally give someone a fake $100 dollar bill. she told the clerk that she unknowingly had gotten fake money before from someone and wondered if it was about the same time. She felt horrable because she remembered how violated she felt when she accidently washed her money with her clothes and 2 $100 dollar bills were shreded beyond recognition and the other money was fine. SHe said all this before they read her her rights. She offered to pay the $100 if they could give her some kind of proof because it was such a coincedence. the store would not take her money. she was not arrested but was given a card to call the police department. the next day she called twice and left messages. she was wondering what she should do to protect herself while talking to the police. she has nothing to hide but she also has nothing to offer the 2 bills she thinks she got when she had a booth at a flea market.
