Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
If a family member (a female) shoves a man in his chest and then prcoeeds to pick up his baby in one hand and strikes him on his face still clutching his baby (and the baby is crying and flopping around in her arm) and the man in turn out of fear for his child punches her in the eye - who is at fault and who should be charged.

This is complex because there are a lot of variables here. It could be considered self-defense or defense of others but it really depends on the very very specific circumstances. I suggest you meet with an attorney and discuss those specifics with them.
