Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

FDLE registration requirements when probation is accepted by another state?

I was convicted and granted probation in the State of FL and was required to register with FDLE. However, I am a resident of another state and probation was transfered to my state of residency more than 2 years ago. I am still registered with FDLE. Since I do not reside in FL, am I still required to remain registered with FDLE? If not, how do I remove myself from FDLE registration?

Re: FDLE registration requirements when probation is accepted by another state?

my general answer is you must always remain registered with FDLE. You are technically on probation in Florida. The other state is simply admistrating the Florida probation. If you were to violate you would extradited back to Florida. Further, if people could de-register from FDLE just by transferring probation, everyone would be doing it. I would also advise you check you have met any registration of your new state. most states require you register with local law enforcement depending on your crime.
