felony charges
will i lose my nursing license if I get a third degree felony charge?

It depends. It is not up to the prosecutors, but rather the Department of Health and the Board of Nursing. I have represented doctors and nurses before the Board of Health before, and they are usually amenable to negotiations in order to preserve your license.

If you are merely charged then probably not, but if you are convicted then you may have a problem with the nursing board. Charges for theft are particularily problematic.
