Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

felony drug stop

I was giving a friend a ride and went we got to the final destination, my friend's associates were not there. We left and as soon as got a block away we were stopped by numerous police. Me the driver was told to throw keys out window, get out, and lay face down. I was then cuffed, moved away from my vehicle, and searched. Same with my friend, accept upon searching him they found drugs. My friend was involved in a reverse drug sting, which i didn't have anything to do with. Did the police have probable cause to instantly arrest me, knowing the person they investigating was the passenger? My arrest affidavit said I was in possession and was finally charged that evening with trafficking. The State later changed the charges conspiracy with no evidence on me. Now my codefendant has plead out and made a statement ''the he was going to pay me in the end''. If the original arrest was unlawful, are the charges still good?
