Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Felony Violation of Probation
My brother was arrested for breach of peach and therefore his probation was violated. The breach of peace charges were dropped this past week but he still has the VOP hearing to attend next week. Will the VOP charges generally be dropped since the charges that caused the VOP were dropped? Just curious as to what he should expect. He attends his VOP meeting each month and passes the drug test each month. He also has home visits once per month with the PO and everything goes well.

Re: Felony Violation of Probation
It sounds like he completed probation, but violated while on probation. He should expect an offer from the State Attorney at the VOP hearing.
