Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
My Fianc� is on Parole out of Arkansas, we live in Florida now and on August 28th 2016, was arrested for Violation of parole for a petty theft charge that happened a year ago. He has not had a court date, hasn't seen a judge or anything. Today he had the chance to speak with the Sergeant in the jail and he told my fianc� that Arkansas dropped the case but Florida is now putting him in prison. I'm very confused about all this. Would anyone have an insight about what is actually going on? Why he hasn't seen a judge? Or how long does Arkansas have to come get him? Thank you in advance!
