Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
My fiance is charged with 2 counts of battery strike or touch no injury his bond is 5016 dollars he has no previous record and has already been in jail 3 weeks by the time his court date gets here. What is his likely punishment? What should he plead? He was in a Mental Health resource center when he got arrested. He is on prescription medication.

There is no way to advise him on what he should plea without knowing the facts of the case. He is entitled to a lawyer and should talk with one. His bond amount indicates this bond is set so high because he may have missed a court date. With no previous record he probably has a number of options available including potential diversion, probation, or possibly time served.
