Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

My fiancee was molested as a 9 year old child by a so called freind of the family. That was 23 years ago in 1987. She is suffering emotionaly very badly. Is it possible to still press criminal child molestation charges against this man. It happened in Dade county Florida, and the molester has since moved to north florida. Please help.

Let me start by saying that I don't know the answer for sure so I am advising you to speak to an attorney in person and not on this forum. However, I think that in 1987 there was a statute of limitations on this. Today there is not, but you have to apply the statute of limitations on the date that it happened. Again, talk to an attorney in person in your area.
