No Florida law prevents a 19-year-old from having (normal) sex with a 16-year-old. Sixteen is the age of consent in Florida.

I believe the previous response included a typo, and meant to say that FL law does not prevent a 19 year old from having sex with a 16 year old.
My question is, why would you try to have your step son arrested, charged with rape, and labeled as a sex offender? If you disapprove of his choices or lifestyle, cut him off, force him to live with the consequences of his actions, but don't provoke it. What ever happened to familly unity?---Just one parent's opinion.
