The Speedy trial rule is filled with exceptions and exceptions to exceptions so hopefully you have an attorney to file this demand. An improperly filed demand will be considered a nullity and may also have the effect of upsetting the judge and the prosecutor at a time when you are trying to resolve your case quickly. So getting an attorney, if you don't have one already, is your first priority.
