Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I am a film student, needing to film a court room scene and needed to advice on depicting:
The story is about a police officer who is caught on tape using excessive force during a routine traffic stop. He get suspended from the department while the breau conduct an investigation.
Question: Will the officer still have to face a judge? Will he be charged with a criminal charge? Will there be a preliminary hearing?

If you want advice on how to make the scene realistic, perhaps you can enlist a law student to help you. Or watch more Law & Order (it's not half bad as legal dramas go).
