Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

I am a film student and working on a script for my final project. I need to know in a criminal jury trail does the judge pronounce sentencing the same day the jury comes back or is it set for a later date.

Not simple to answer because sometimes, the law requires the sentence to be imposed once a judgement or verdict is entered. DUI law is like that. The majority of the time most laws don't require it to happen. If a person is facing prison or long jail sentence, and if the court is not required to sentence, then I would say most of the time, the court will delay sentencing. If the court knows it will be something like probation, and the defendant waives his right to presentence investigation report, the judge may sentence right then and there. Every case is different that's why it is not easy to answer.
