Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

I am currently in the Florida Dept. Of Corrections. I have already served eight years as of today. I would like to know, do I get jail time credit on my second five year term? I was sentence to a 10 year sentence, I've already served five years, I'm on my second five year term. The supreme court overturned a person's jail time credit, they awarded him credit on his second jail time on the same charge as mines. This person is currently released from prison. Altogether, I have served 8 years of jail time. I am currently waiting to hear to see if I will get an early release this month from prison. Is there anyway you can tell me who can I contact, or who can maybe help me attain this matter, it would greatly be appreciated.

It depends. Was your sentence for these concurrent or consecutive? If the judge ordered your sentence to be served consecutively then that means you don't get credit for the time on the first count when serving your second count. If it is concurrent then you do get the credit.
