can Florida extradite from Virginia on a misdameanor charge?

Legally, yes, though I've never see it happen. Worse, the person in Virginia will get picked up then held waiting for Florida to refuse extradition. The better plan, especially since it's only a misdemeanor, is for the person to get a Florida lawyer and come to Florida to rectify the warrant.
