Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Florida Extradition#2

If I live in Utah and have a warrant in Florida and get pulled over in Utah, will it show up on the local police's computer? If it does and I am put in jail awaiting extradition and the Florida Attorney declines extradition, what happens next? I get out of jail and everything is done? Or am I back to square one and the warrant remains active? Who would I contact to get more information about this case? The warrant is out of Seminole County, 8 years ago and I would like to get this resolved asap without jail time or having to go to Florida to give myself in and lose my job. I was told to get a Lawyer in Florida to talk to the Attorney's office there and see what they will do. Any suggestions for Lawyers that won't charge me an arm and a leg to do this. Thank You for your time.

Yes, it will show up. If you are put in jail, you will be there until Florida either brings you back, or declines or you make bond. If Florida declines, the warrant does not go away. Next time you get a traffic ticket, same thing happens all over again.

Now, about the plea in absentia (meaning you plea through the mail), what are the charges?
