Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

In Florida, what kind of crime is gas lighting? When someone finally finds out that people were gas lighting her for years, making her think she's crazy instead of a victim of a serious crime, creating extreme anxiety and uncertainty, severely dimisishing the quality of her life, dreams, goals, relationships, enjoyment of her home and anything in it, what can she do? She was told within the last two years by a perpetrator of the crime that she's crazy, she was told by another to stop asking questions, by another that they don't have working memories of this. Additionally, her family was under the impression she was insane because of her claims against "upstanding, normal people," and because no one stepped forward to say they committed or knew about the crimes, so the family told doctors she's insane and the doctors treated her like she was delusional because she made up this one incident that the family said didn't happen. No one bothered to find out if it did. Years later and much information uncovered, it turns out she was a victim of several crimes by these gas lighters and because these perpetrators also caused her to think she was crazy and led her to never be certain of her own thoughts and feelings (though all doctors ruled out schizophrenia), and in these years family and friends who were told she was crazy treated her like she was delusional in nearly all aspects of her thoughts, feelings, and life, she couldn't get legal help - she was terrified. What kind of lawyer is needed to resolve this? Could gas lighting ever be considered a type of fraud? Also, since the victim was told she was insane and therefore couldn't properly reach out for help to solve the crime because she was so unsure and afraid, terrified of being mocked or told by law enforcement that crazy people can't bring their crazy ideas to the authorities, how does the statute of limitations play into her taking action against the perpetrators for the original crimes about which they were gas lighting her? What could she legally do about the gas lighting?

Thank you.

Whoever these "people" are that you reference could be charged if it is considered abusive. The abused person should contact the police in that case. Or you could contact a civil lawyer to sue these people.
