Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I'm in Florida. Is it legal for the police to audio tape someone through the victim talking to them on the phone? The victim is a minor and no parental consent was gotten.

Probably not, but there are exceptions for law enforcement. If a judge decides that the person was acting at the direction of law enforcement, then the tape MIGHT be admissible. Parental consent is not usually germane to the inquiry of admissiblity of the tape.
