In Florida! If someone pleads guilty to petity theft. Is there a way to get it expunged or sealed?

Definitely, assuming you are otherwise eligible. That means if you got a withhold of adjudication on the petit theft charge AND you have not been convicted of any other criminal, criminal traffic, or ordinance violation at any time any where. So if it's your only charge in your life and you got adjudication withheld, then you can. You should talk to an attorney to assist you.

The manner of the plea is not as important as the sentence. If the court adjudicated you guilty then it can not be sealed. If you received a withhold of adjudication you may be eligible to have your case sealed. If you do not know, you can request an official copy of your disposition from the clerk of court for the county where the offense occurred.
