Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
in florida prisons correctional officers are supposed to video tape and write a report when they use force like pepper spray. are the video and report public record and if so i do i get a copy of both?

A report is required but video is not "required." However, if there is one they are public records, although they are allowed to destroy or record over a video according to their own rules after their own rules' set period of time. Some say one week, one month, one year, forever. There is no standard.
