Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

I'm in florida and I'm 18 years old. I received 2 felony charges as a juvenile and was direct filed into adult courts. I was sentenced to 2 years adult probation. I pleaded guilty to get youthfull offender and courts discretion. What does that mean ? Can I have a weapons permit if it courts discretion? Thanks

Well I need more information but based on what you wrote here is what I can tell you. First, you are now officially an adult and these charges will remain on your record at least until you complet probation. Youthful offender does mean that the judge is limited to what he can do if you violate probation. Also, if you got a withhold of adjudication, then you can legally possess a gun. If you didn't, then you are considered a convicted felon. You should talk to your attorney to be clear of what you were sentenced to. Good luck.
