Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
fraud charges
I got pulled over about 7 months ago for speeding and was driving without a license, I got scared and gave my sisters name because she was not a minor I was. Later on that week I got a lawyer and went to court to straighten things out and to get my sister off the hook, at this point she was aware of the situation and didn't mind. Well about 1 month ago she stole money from me so I told her I would not pay the speeding ticket that was derived from the incident. Now she is threatening to press charges for fraud on me, is this possible? I already went to court and got the charges dropped by the state.
