Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

I got a free kitten from an older gentlemen that posted the ad in the paper. I called him, picked up the kitten & the kitten is happy & in a loving home.

however, the gentlemen decided after bringing her into my home that he wanted her back & has been harassing me over the phone the past few days now. I have no longer been accepting his calls, but he continues to call me day & night steady in the middle of the night!

am I in the right or wrong as far as legally?

Sounds like a law school question, but since it was a gift, you are right. If he keeps harassing you, tell him to stop and if he doesn't call the police.
