Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Friday I was terminated from my job for alleged theft. My employers said this has been going on for a while. The problem is, the register we use is used by the entire staff. There are ID codes or anyway to differentiate who is using the register at what time. Plus they kept my last two checks.
I have a clean record and never been in trouble of any kind, so I don't know what to expect. Will I wake up one morning and have the police at my door or are there procedures?

There is a good chance you will answer the door to find cops. The procedure is that your former employer may report you to the police. If the police try to speak with you, immediately tell then you want a lawyer and to invoke your rights. If plenty of employees use each others' ID codes then it may be impossible for them to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that you are guilty.
