Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

My friend was arrested and put on probation. He had his first appointment on 6/30 and did not pass his drug test. He was arrested and bonded out. He reported to his probation officer within 24 hours as instructed but the office said the PO was unavailable and made him an appointment for 7/8. When my friend inquired with his PO if he would have to take another drug test on the 8th they PO wouldn't give him an answer. Can the PO legally give him a second drug test 8 days after his first violation and violate him again?

The PO can give a drug test today, tomorrow, the day after, the day after that....... In other words, the answer is yes, and yes he can be violated again. This doesn't mean there may not be defenses (such as same drug still being in the system) but he could still be violated.
