Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Okay, so i tried to help a friend out by driving his car because he got pulled over with a suspended license. We switched cars immediately after his incident and he gets pulled over in my car. I go to the scene where he is pulled over, not even 4 minutes in his car. The officer arrests me for letting him drive my car. Later when i was in booking they tell me that they searched his car and found a 1 count of xanax and that i was now being charged with possession of a controlled substance. I am out on bond right now, and currently have a court date. What would be the best way to go about this whole situation?

Well, you shouldn't have let him drive your car. You can be busted on that charge. As to the drug, charge, that is going to be tough for the state to prove. You really need to consult an attorney.
