Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I have a friend that went down to FL to take care of a felony for stealing and ended up getting 8 months in jail, 1 year of community control "house arrest" followed by one year of probation. His probation office came to him the other day and said that he cannot transfer his community control and probation up to ohio where his only residence is. Yes he does have family down in the area, but none that would be able to support him for a year. Is he able to get that stuff transfered upto ohio?

To transfer probation to another county requires moving the Court to transfer probation, and Ohio agreeing to take the probation. So, he needs to get his criminal lawyer to set a hearing and ask the Judge.
