So, now you have to ask an attorney if there is any possible way that she can press charges. If the police said she could not, then she probably cannot. But it would depend upon a number of factors, to be sure. She gave you a check to cash. Most places will not cash a third party check. Was it written to her? If it was, you would have a very difficult time cashing it. If she wrote a check to you to cash it and give her the money, you would also have a hard time cashing it, unless you cashed it at her bank. If that is, however, what happened, then you did her a favor. She is probably just a mendacious prevaricating reprobate. Never do her a favor again.
