Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

A friend helped me at X-mas by agreeing to open a fingerhut account for me so my son could have a good X-mas. We discussed it, even agreed on payment schedules and so on. Everything was fine, she called me when my packages arrived and x-mas went on as planned. 3 days later though she was fired from her job, next thing I knew her badge buddy called me screaming at me talking about criminal charges and acusing me of stealing my friends identity. I kept trying to tell her that she knew but she didnt want to hear anything I had to say. Next thing, my "friend" demanded cash not to press charges. I dont have the cash, I paid off fingerhut, but aparantly thats not what this is really about. It's about getting her bills payed. Did I mention that the reason she was fired was because she wasnt showing up for work, she wasnt going to work because her doctor said she wasnt mentaly stable enough to work. But still Im scared, she used to work for the police dept here, and she's slept with most of them. Am I really in trouble here?

Only the state can file criminal charges, not this person. Possibly a civil suit but you should talk to an attorney to be sure.
