Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
my friend just got outof prison after seving 44 months for several burglaries on a vehichle,,he just got 5 new charges one being dealing in stolen property,,he was realeased from prison a about a month prior.will he be charged with th reoffender act? will he be going back to prison?

It depends on the type of new charges as to whether or not he will be subject to the reoffender act (PRR), although dealing in stolen property is not a listed offense under that statute. That said, he will undoubtedly score prison due to his priors and the fact that dealing in stolen property is punishable by up to 15 years prison. He should talk to an attorney right away.
