Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
my ex girlfriend assulted me i got bruses got hit several times! she kicked me out and she put an injuction on me so i couldn’t press charges ! can i press charges after a year. ??! i lost my job and she ruined my career as a nurse i never hit her but i did threaten her because she had my dog: she wouldn’t give me my dog! can i still press charges?

ONLY a prosecutor can bring charges even if the victim wants charges pressed. After a year it is very unlikely a prosecutor would fire charges. You can always ask them by contacting the police department where this happened.
