Can you get a grand theft felony knocked down to a misdemeanor if you have no record otherwise?

Any charge can be adjusted lower or even higher depending on the facts. Just because you have no record, however, would not be the sole reason the state would lessen the charge to a misdemeanor. You need to get an attorney because you may be eligible for programs such as diversion which would end up allowing the charge to be dismissed altogether upon completion. Again, talk to an attorney to be sure.
