grand theft

how long does the states attorney have to file charges against someone for grand theft?

also, am i supposed to be arraigned within a certain time from date of arrest?

The state can file charges within the statute of limitations which is several years. Firt appearance is 48 of arrest usually. Arraignment is not required in person.
