Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
my grandson starts trail tommorw in florida,He is charged with first degree attempted murder agg robbery with bodily harm.This has ben on for two and a half years.MY question is should his attorney have put in for a speedy trail befor now?

Probably not. A demand for speedy trial basically means you are ready for trial at that instant. Serious cases like these usually take a long time to prepare. Additionally these cases tend to get worse for the prosecutor the longer they drag on. That said the decision is usually made case by case
