Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Gun possesion
Can someone in Florida really be arrested and charged with having a gun just because someone said so? My friend got in an argument verbally with his brothers neighbor. The brother does carry a gun and has a permit. However my friend didn't have a gun and because he has a past he was charged and now sitting in jail for it. His wonderful public defender said this can go to jury trial just based on someone saying he had a gun. There was no gun.

Re: Gun possesion
It's theoretically possible, but it doesn't sound like much of a case for the prosecution.
