Habitual traffic offender

Had three driving on a suspended license in a five year period that suspended my license for five years 13 days after suspension was in effect i was taken to jail for a felony dr while lic sus as habitial traffic offender the suspensions date back as late as 2003,2004,2005 my question how can the dmv go waqit so long to suspend lic

'Just read your question...

It's not real clear what the date was for the start of the 5 yr. susp. However, they don't suspend for H.O. until the third conviction for certain charges that qualify for that statute. Sometimes, if the last conviction was near the end of 5 years from the first one, we can ask that the last one be set aside (by arguing you didn't have an atty.) and hope the judge sees what we are trying to avoid and simply agrees to our request. I did that for a client once and he avoided the 5 yr. susp.
