Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Hi,
I recently have been charged with a battery for domestic violence but it was done in self defense trying to prevent my money from being stolen. What are my chances I will go to jail for a year?

Jail for a year unlikely unless you have a very bad record. If this is a misdemeanor, then one year is merely the maximum for the charge. Self defense cases are always a tricky. Speak with some attorneys or request a public defender if you cant afford an attorney. Good luck.
